UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

We have so much going on and we are so excited about what God has, is and will do not only in our individual lives, but in the lives of the children and people in Swaziland.

The team is now 4 people strong. Rachel Schuelka, David Gonzales, Joseph Courage and Joanna Drake. We continue to prepare spiritually, emotionally and logistically for our trip and are counting down the days till we leave.

We have some really exciting fundraising opportunities going on right now. We are doing a CHANGE FOR CHANGE drive at HCBCUT. Basically we are asking people to fill water bottles with change and bring them to us. We have the bottles available so if you need one... please let us know ASAP (email: supportswaziland@gmail.com)

Also we have a really fun DINNER coming up NOVEMBER 20th. We are going to have live music, great food and an awareness presentation. We ask that you make at least a $25 dollar donation to participate but would really love to have you there. Please contact us for more information.

We are so thankful to have the support that we do and encourage you to ask us about, learn more and support us in prayer as we continue on this journey that God is allowing us to be on with HIM.

Team Swaziland

The ball is rolling...

Currently there are a large handful of people praying about their involvement with out trip. We have a meeting this Sunday at HCBC UT at 12 pm. We have available a print out that has all the ways you can help, even if you are not actually going, email us at supportswaziland@gmail.com and I will send it to you!!!! 

Hope you are all watching the video below! Crazy right? It is so hard to imagine that a child is dying every 3 seconds! and can you even dream of a country with ONLY children.... this is what we are facing! But the great news is, God is definitely moving over there... his Mercy and Love are with those children and he is rising up a generation who is on Fire for him and his Kingdom!!!

Here we go...

It is late, but I can NOT sleep! I have been caught up in a feeling of excitement and joy all day. The more I learn about what Heart for Africa is doing in Swaziland, and the more I see and discover about what God is doing there makes my heart yearn for more.  This beautiful boy is named John. You can learn more about him and his mother on the Heart for Africa website. 

At this point, I just wanted to get something in the works. I envision this being a place where anyone and everyone can come to learn more about the things going on in Swaziland. We are currently forming a team to travel there in December 2009. When we get the team together, we will continue to post about our experience... following God on this amazing mission.  

VERY SOON, we will have the ways and resources available for you to help. (prayerfully, financially, with your time, etc) But for right now... I ask that you check out the video posted below... check out Heart for Africa's website (on the right)

PRAYER REQUEST: We are currently forming our team. Pray that those who are supposed to be on this team are WILLING and that fears and doubts can be put to rest. Most importantly, that God's will is done, that our planning reflects the plans HE has for us, and that we can continue to be excited and encouraged!
